Labor Day Holiday closings announced

Seymour governmental offices, including the department of public works and Seymour Transit, will be closed Monday in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

Trash, recycling and yard waste normally collected Monday will be picked up Tuesday.

Jackson County governmental offices and those in Brownstown, Crothersville and Medora also will be closed for the holiday.

All Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicle branches, including Seymour’s at 501 Burkart Blvd., will be closed Saturday through Monday in observance of the holiday.

Branches will resume regularly scheduled business hours Tuesday.
