Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925 in Seymour will have a V-J Day celebration from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The event will pay tribute to all veterans in the community and is open to the public.

A meal will be served from 1 to 3 p.m. at the post, 311 S. Jackson Park Drive.

At 2:30 p.m., the national anthem will be played, and at 2:35 p.m., retired Adjutant General of Indiana Maj. Gen. Martin Umbarger will speak.

At 3 p.m., there will be a veterans recognition and honor guard appreciation. Then at 3:15 p.m., a flag folding and gun salute will take place along with a bagpipe presentation of "Taps."

The public is invited to stay from 4 to 6 p.m. for live music.
