State Road 39 between State Road 250 in Jackson County and State Road 256 in Washington County will be closed beginning Monday to allow for completion of a pipe replacement project.

The work by Indiana Department of Transportation maintenance crews is scheduled to occur from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Friday.

County roads will be accessible to local traffic only.

The official state detour for the closure is State Road 256 to Interstate 65 to State Road 250.

All work is weather dependent.
