The 17th annual Seymour Evening Lions Club Golf Scramble will have a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Aug. 31 at Shadowood Golf Course, 333 N. Sandy Creek Drive, Seymour.

Registration will be from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. The entry fee is $200 per four-person team or $50 for an individual. The entry deadline is Aug. 28. Send name(s), phone number(s) and entry fee to Bill Jarvis, P.O. Box 594, Seymour, IN 47274. Make checks payable to Seymour Evening Lions Club.

Team prizes are $400 for first place and $300 for second place. Bob Poynter Auto Group will give $1,000 for a hole-in-one.

It will be $5 to enter a putting contest with the winner receiving 50% of the total purse. The contest will be that day as people play. Contestants will be allowed two putts.

Mulligans may be purchased at registration for $5 each with a limit of two per player. A free mulligan will be given with a donation of used eyeglasses with a limit of eight per team.

There also will be door prizes, free supper, no green fees and no cart rental fees.

The Lions Club also is seeking sponsors for the event, which is the group’s main fundraiser.
