Jollie R. Gibson, 73, of Crothersville, IN, passed away at 6:15 p.m. on July 1, 2019 unexpectedly at his home.

Born August 14th, 1945 in Crothersville, IN, he was the son of Jollie Lee Gibson and Effie Mae (Burton) Gibson, who preceded him in death.

Jollie was a 1964 Crothersville High School graduate, retired from Cummins after 34 years and also owned his own bakery and restaurant, Stop-N-Go, for 4 years. He loved old antique cars, street rods, muscle cars, dealing in antiques, collecting coins, milk bottles, cans, jumbo peanut butter jars, gemstones and crystals.

He enjoyed spending his winters at his place in Brandenton, FL and going on cruises. He liked his lemon trees and was fond of lemon soup. Jollie always took pride in his family and friends and enjoyed their company.

Jollie is survived by his 2 children, Jill Elaine Gibson Volz (Karl) of Brownstown, IN and Michael Ray Gibson of Seymour, IN; 2 grandchildren, Brittany Hunnicutt and Brett Hunicutt; 3 great-grandchildren, Jaylin Hunnicutt, Riley Grimes, and Gunner Hunnicutt; 2 sisters, Janice Scifres of Columbus, IN and Sharon Emily of Paris Crossing, IN.

Funeral services will be conducted by Randy King on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Friends and family may visit on Saturday, July 6, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Adams Family Funeral Home in Crothersville, IN. Burial will be in Crothersville Cemetery.
