Traffic at standstill on northbound I-65 due to truck fire

Traffic is at a standstill on Interstate 65 following a truck fire near Crothersville.

A semitrailer has exploded and caught fire in the northbound lanes near the 45.5-mile-marker, according to police scanner traffic.

Police said the cab of the truck is on fire at this time.

One lane is open to motorists, but traffic is moving slowly.

It’s unknown at this time whether there are injuries. It’s also unclear what the truck is carrying.

Police have not diverted traffic onto U.S. 31 at Uniontown because of bridge work in the area.
