Throwback Thursday — June 13

The 1981 Seymour High School football team went 8-3. This year’s team made the state playoffs for the first time in school history. After beating Connersville 41-18 to conclude the regular season, SHS learned it had qualified for the District 4, Class-AAA playoffs thanks to additional losses by Floyd Central and Terre Haute South. In the road playoff game, the Owls fell to Martinsville 22-8.
