An AAU freshman boys basketball consisting of seven Jackson County athletes won a basketball tournament over Memorial Day Weekend. 

At the Adidas Chicago Classic, the Blazers went 1-1 in pool play to earn a spot in the gold bracket.

In the single elimination tourney, the Blazers won all three of its games to take home the Gold Championship Trophy. In the finals, the Blazers beat Mercury Elite 15U Hornacek 48-43.

The division featured 14 other teams from across the country.
