Head of Youth Services Lola Snyder gave a report about the summer learning program when the Jackson County Public Library board of trustees met Monday at the Seymour Library.

"A Universe of Stories," this year’s summer learning program, is online, in the Seymour, Crothersville and Medora libraries and on the Discovery Bus from May 28 to July 31.

Summer learning program participants of all ages could earn a Moon Pie, a book or puzzle book, ice cream, a pool pass and a chance to win grand prizes. Participants may register at myjclibrary.readsquared.com.

Family Fun Days co-sponsored by Jackson County United Way with bouncy houses, face painting, games and more will be at the Crothersville, Seymour and Medora libraries on June 3, 6 and 8, respectively. Community agencies will have booths and activities for all ages.

After Snyder’s report, trustees approved personnel changes and personnel policy changes. They also agreed to spend $1,035 from the library endowment on a commercial picnic table for the front of the Seymour Library.

The next board meeting is at 5 p.m. June 17 at the library, 303 W. Second St., Seymour.
