Update, 9:18 p.m.:
Police identified four Seymour residents who were rescued Saturday after their Jon boat capsized in the East Fork White River.
Jason Anderson, 41, Sarah Anderson, 44, Beth Linneneier, 54, and Ron Taylor, 51, were each rescued after the incident reported to police at 4:25 p.m.
Police were called to the scene after a witness called to report she saw the boat go over the dam.
Sheriff Rick Meyer said the incident remains under investigation.
Original post, 5:30p.m.:
Four people were rescued after the Jon boat they were riding capsized in the East Fork White River near Rockford, police report.
Jackson County Sheriff Rick Meyer said two people were able to swim to safety, but two others had to be rescued by police.
Meyer said Reserve Deputy Eric Browalski pulled one person to safety, and Seymour Officer Derrick Shelley located and pulled the other from the water.
Each declined treatment, Meyer said.
Meyer didn’t have names of those involved, but said the four were about a quarter mile south of the dam in the East Fork White River near Rockford.
Conservation officers assisted at the scene.
