Search warrant results in four arrests, drug seizure

Four people were arrested on drug-related charges by police serving a search warrant Tuesday at a property at County Road 450S and State Road 7 in Jennings County.

Danielle Malcomb, 23, and Charles Perry, 29, both of North Vernon, Codi Brasher, 28, of Butlerville and Richard Woodward, 37, of Deputy, all face charges of possession of a syringe, possession of paraphernalia and possession of a narcotic drug.

Malcomb, Perry and Woodward also each face a charge of visiting/maintaining a common nuisance, according to a news release from the North Vernon Police Department.

The search warrant was served as part of an ongoing drug investigation by officers with the North Vernon Police Department, Jennings County Sheriff’s Department and Indiana Counterdrug Task Force.

Officers made simultaneous entry into three separate buildings and were able to detain all subjects arrested without incident. They also recovered approximately 5 grams of heroin, a small amount of narcotic pills and various drug paraphernalia items, including syringes and smoking pipes.
