Fire staff from the Hoosier National Forest will be on hand with a fire engine to explore and water hose activities from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., followed by a demonstration on how to start and extinguish a campfire safely.

Highlights include a guest appearance by Smokey Bear, who is celebrating his 75th birthday this year, and giveaway items on fire safety.

Everyone is invited to come join the fun at the amphitheater at Hardin Ridge Recreation Area, 6464 Hardin Ridge Road, Heltonville, off of Indiana 446 south of Bloomington.
