Accomplishments this past week: Cerino went 4-0 at No. 1 singles for the Owls, including going undefeated in her Hoosier Hills Conference matches.

How were you able to perform to your fullest this past week?

"I worked on my weaknesses during practice."

"I played my own game, stayed focused and took all the chances I had."

Do you do anything special to prepare?

"I give 110% in practices."

Favorite drink: Pink lemonade

Favorite food: Tacos

Favorite books: "The Book Thief" and "The Hunger Games"

Role models: Great-grandparents

Best advice?

"If you tried your best, there is no reason to be disappointed in yourself."

If you could travel anywhere and why?

"I would really like to visit Italy because it’s a country full of culture and history."

Jack Marksberry, Trinity Lutheran baseball, sophomore

Accomplishments this past week: Marksberry helped the Cougars go 3-1 as a team. He pitched a shutout against Greenwood Christian Academy while going 6-for-12 at the plate, scoring seven runs and recording three RBI.

How were you able to perform to your fullest this past week?

"God has given me the ability to stay focused and to listen to my coaches in all the advice they give me."

What did you do well?

"Remained calm on the mound and tried to be positive after every play."

Do you do anything special to prepare?

"Work hard in the offseason in weights with coach (Caleb) Tormoehlen."

Best advice?

"You can’t push the unpushed."

If you could travel anywhere and why?

"Lake Okeechobee in Florida to bass fish."

"To win state in basketball and baseball."
