A Jennings County man has requested the public’s help in finding items stolen from his property.
Steve Boswell of Butlerville said more than 20 items valued around $15,000 were taken from his garage around Friday.
Items that were stolen include a 60-inch television, an Echo WeedEater, a chainsaw, tools, hunting gear, guns and more.
"It’s my garage, mancave kind of place," he said. "I keep all my tools and stuff in there."
One of the more special items is a custom muzzleloader gun that his friend made. His friend only made 20 of the guns, he said.
"It’s a really neat gun and one you can’t replace, but it’s one I would know as soon as I see it," he said.
Boswell plans to install security cameras and steel bars around the entryways and windows of his barn on his 60-acre site.
Boswell said he returned home after a few days of work to find his items missing. He believes the people who stole the items drove on a four-wheeler, took everything and placed it on a deck near his home before loading them into a vehicle.
Whoever took the items was in such a hurry that they left a Yeti brand cooler and a block target on the deck, Boswell said.
He has lived in the area for years on and off and said he has never had any issues.
"We’ve had a few break-ins here and there, but this is definitely a first," he said.
Boswell said the Jennings County Sheriff’s Department has been in contact with him.
