Russell “Russ” Winterton Jr, 79 of Seymour, Indiana passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Schneck Medical Center. Born December 1, 1939 in Murray, Utah he was the son of Russell Winterton Sr. and Lois (Ferguson) Christenson.

Russell had worked for Marion Kay Spices and Jeff’s Carwash in Brownstown. He enjoyed listening to his CB radio and traveling out west. He especially loved spending time with his granddaughter Chloe and seeing her off to school every day.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Connie Winterton; his grandson Bentley Winterton and one sister, Roxanne Christenson and two brothers, Joe Dee Christenson, Kelly Dean Christenson.

He is survived by his wife Debra (Pierson) Winterton whom he married October 12, 1984; his children Sharie (Kevin) Winn of Pahrump, Nevada, Troy Jr. Winterton of Pahrump, Nevada, Logan Winterton of Seymour and, Tawnie Winterton of Seymour; his brother Ron Winterton of Salt Lake, Utah; grandchildren, Amber Ames, Michael VanCleef, Tory Van Cleef, Jessica Havel, Chloe Winterton and Raeclyn Winterton; his great grandchildren Leann, Marissa, Lucas, Kaylyn, Olivia, Parker, Wyatt and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2019 at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Monday until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
