The Louisville Astronomical Society has postponed a public viewing until next week due to inclement weather.

The event was originally scheduled for Saturday, but will now take place from 6:30 to 10 p.m. April 20, at the Freeman Municipal Airport.

Several amateur and professional astronomers will set up high-resolution telescopes to view the solar system, moon and other celestial bodies. The Freeman Army Airfield Museum also will be open.

“It will be at the same time, same place, just hopefully there will be better weather,” Don Furlow, airport manager, said.
