SEYMOUR

Mrs. Rosalie Johnson, 96, of Seymour, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Lutheran Community Home. She was born in Jennings County to the late Albert R. and Matel (Barnes) McCammon.

Funeral services will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday, March 20 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Hood officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until time of service.

On November 8, 1947, she married Raymond L. Johnson in Jennings County; he preceded her in death in 1990. Rosalie was a previous member of Marion Baptist Church prior to moving to Seymour, where she then joined First Baptist Church where she was a former Deaconess. She worked for G. C. Murphy Co. then for Dickson’s where she did “piece work” at home and later worked at the facility and retired from there after 19 years of service. She enjoyed playing computer solitaire, board games and especially attending the Senior Citizen Center of Crothersville where she played euchre.

She is survived by sons, Jerry (Vicky) Johnson and Danny (Penny) Johnson; daughter, Janet (Jimmie) Hall; daughter-in-law, Becky Johnson; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Steven Johnson; brothers, Earl McCammon and Leonard McCammon; and sisters, Mildred McCammon and Milicent Robbins,
