Library offering sewing program for children

The Jackson County Public Library is offering a new program called Sew Crafty for children in grades 4 through 8 at 2 p.m. Saturdays at the library, 303 W. Second St., Seymour.

Participants will have the opportunity to gain experience in both hand sewing and using a sewing machine. Registration is required.

The schedule includes hand sewing Saturday, sewing machine March 23 and a two-part make-your-own monster doll dress April 20 and 27. A basic sewing skill is preferred for the latter two sessions.
