Kids, family and cooking in Zambia

Wow! Hello, family and friends.

Saturday was Day 3 here in Livingstone, Zambia. So much has happened within the past week, so I am just going to spill it all out.

I met my team a week ago Thursday, and they are like family now. I could not imagine being here with anyone else. My team is so encouraging and so much fun to be around. We laugh, smile, cry and worship together. It is currently my team living with two locals and four volunteers. We also are living with lizards, spiders and bugs, which is interesting.

Kids, wow the kids! I have never seen anyone filled with so much joy in my whole life. They see you and greet you with a smile, hello and/or hug. They love to show you new games and everything they can do. They love doing flips and the splits.

Cooking, I never knew how much I liked cooking until we got here. I have cooked each night with some of my teammates, and it is so much fun. Saturday night, we had scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, toast and hot sauce. I like eating dinner in the evening with my family. It gives us time to sit around together.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my blog. I look forward to updating you in about a week or so. I hope everything back home is going great.

Also, I got to FaceTime my parents, cat and dog Saturday. I miss them, but I could not imagine not being here.
