Susan E. (Bott) Walther passed from this life Sunday January 27, 2019, at Jewish Hospital, Louisville, Ky. Her family gathered and surrounded her with love in her last hours. Sue was a member of Immanuel, United Church of Christ, Louisville.

Born August 5, 1949, she was preceded in death by her parents, Edith Bott, and H. Earl Bott and a brother Richard Bott Sr. She is survived by her spouse and high school sweetheart, Clarence (Bud) Walther Jr. They were married for 51 years and shared life for 54 years. She is also survived by their 3 sons, Christian, Michael, and Aaron (Sarah) and 7 grandchildren, Mick, Megan, Brayden, Elena, Emma, Emmeline, and Silas.

She was a 1967 graduate of Atherton High School, Louisville. Prior to retirement she was the Director of Parish Life for Immanuel, United Church of Christ (Crothersville, IN) where she served with her spouse, Rev. Bud Walther. She was also the Director of the Crothersville IN Senior Citizens Center. She was previously the co-owner of Maid-To-Order cleaning service of Virginia Beach and Sue’s Selectable Collectibles antiques in Scottsburg IN. She loved to cook for the family and fishing was the second passion of her life, after her sons, and she could do it for many hours.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Immanuel United Church of Christ, (Louisville KY) 2300 Taylorsville Rd, Louisville, 40205. Visitation with the family will be at the church at 1:00 p.m. and the service will be at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Rachael Small Stokes will lead the service. Memorials and gifts of remembrance may be given to Immanuel United Church of Christ, Louisville.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Arch L. Heady at Resthaven 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218.
