Cougars fall to Panthers

A slow start at Jennings County doomed Class A No. 8 Trinity Lutheran Saturday.
The Cougars (15-7) fell behind 24-10 in the first quarter before trailing 40-20 at half.
While the Cougars were able to put up 15 points in the third quartr, they couldn’t slow down the Panthers (12-8).
The Panthers’ Kylee Matern led all scorers with 24 points while Sydney Jaynes topped the Cougars with 20.
Trinity will host Southwestern (Hanover) Tuesdday.
