Sewing guild to meet in Columbus


The American Sewing Guild neighborhood group meets from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month at Bartholomew County REMC, 1697 W. Deaver Road, Columbus.

Each meeting focuses on learning a new sewing or creative skill or sewing on the group’s philanthropic sewing projects.

During the Feb. 2 meeting, one of the guild’s members will guide those in attendance in making a no tie apron. Participants are asked to bring their interest in sewing and latest project to show and tell.

If you want to participate in the sewing project, bring 2 yards of fabric, basic sewing equipment and your sewing machine along with your own drink and snack. Sewing enthusiasts of all ages and skills are welcome.
