Police responding to water rescue in Vallonia

A fire truck has arrived on scene to help to assist in the rescue.

Jackson County policed are responding to a vehicle in floodwaters rescue in Vallonia.

A caller reported their full-sized Chevrolet pickup truck was in the water at 6500 South County Road 600W.

The caller told police water had reached the bottom of the door of the vehicle.

The call came around 12:25 p.m. Saturday.

Police communication said the vehicle was still on the roadway, and had not been swept. A fire truck has been requested to help.

It’s the third incident this week that police have been called to a rescue as floodwaters linger.
