Police are responding to a multi-vehicle crash at the 58.5 mile marker of Interstate 65, and Exit 55 North has been closed, police report.

At least one injury has been reported at this time, another person is entrapped in Ford Explorer and another vehicle is reported on fire.

Police were called to the area at 11:25 a.m.

State Road 11 also has a high volume of traffic as motorists use it as a detour, so drivers should use caution in the area.

Traffic on I-65 is at a standstill behind the scene of the crash.
