Barnett 50th Anniversary


Merle Francis and Leota Jean Barnett of Seymour will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 30 in the fellowship hall at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.

Merle and the former Leota Jean Stuckwisch were married Dec. 28, 1968, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Victor A. Mack officiated.

They are the parents of three children, Kimberly Barnett of Seymour, Kristine Carr, deceased, and Shawn Barnett of Clarksville, Tennessee. They have four grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.

Leota retired from Dicksons Inc. after more than 30 years working in accounts receivable.

Merle retired from Cummins Engine Co. after more than 30 years as a machine operator. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1963 to 1967, was a Vietnam veteran and is a member of Sons of the American Revolution David Benton chapter in Brownstown.

Friends and family are invited to attend.
