John B. Trimpe, 53, of Freetown, passed from this life at 1:39 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Mr. Trimpe was employed for 30 years at Cummins Engine Company.

John enjoyed membership at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was an avid Butler fan and enjoyed playing golf.

Mr. Trimpe was October 9, 1965, the son of John D. and Rosalyn Hammond Trimpe.

He married Joan Bruner, December 3, 1993.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years; children, Tony Trimpe of Freetown, Serenity (Logan) Lynch of Brownstown, Andrew (Amanda) Phillips of Vallonia and Michael Phillips Jr. of Vallonia; grandchildren, Ashton Jones, Garrett Jones, Blaney Phillips, Payge Phillips, Cameron Phillips, Zowie Phillips, Grant Cooper, Briar Lynch and Harland Lynch; mother, Rosalyn Trimpe of Seymour; father and step-mother, John D. and Jeanne Trimpe of Sarasota, Florida; sister, Dee (Kevin) Beavers of Brownstown; half-sister, Rachel Trimpe of Sarasota, Florida; one niece; and 2 nephews.

The funeral will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike with Pastor Philip Bloch officiating.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday and 9:00 a.m. to time of service Saturday.

Burial will be at Smallwood Cemetery in Brownstown.
