Christmas Basket Fund keeps growin

The annual Christmas Basket Fund grew to $7,202 on Tuesday with $927 in recent donations.

The newest donations are:

  • In memory of Ronnie Herkamp, $100 from Patty Herkamp, children, grandchildren and  great-grandchildren
  • $50, anonymous
  • In memory of Karen Richart $50 from Paul and Frances
  • In loving memory of our friend, Connie Roney, $100
  • In loving memory of Robert E. Schleter, $100 from Joyce Schleter and family.
  • In memory of my wife, Faye, my granddaughter Maggie, my parents, my grandparents and in lieu of Christmas cards, $100 from Buddy Tidd
  • In memory of Bud and Mary, $100
  • In memory of Gerald "Bones" and Mildred Graves, $50, from Chris and Steve Letsinger
  • $37 from laurajoscookies/Nicholson/Darlage
  • In memory of Andy Price, $100, anonymous
  • Merry Christmas, $40 from Country Lace Extension Homakers Club
  • In memory of our son, Billy, and our parents, Bill and Mary Ulrey and Bob and Wilma Norrell, $100 from Pat and Jerry Norrell

Donations may be mailed to or dropped off at American Legion Post 89, The Tribune or any JCB branch.

Need assistance and want to apply to receive a $50 Jay C Food Stores gift card? Jackson County residents should submit a letter stating their need for assistance and mail it to American Legion Basket Fund, P.O. Box 566, Seymour, IN 47274.

Donations of money and requests for assistance will be accepted through Saturday.
