Ethan Carlin recently received the Brownstown Exchange Club’s November Youth of the Month award.

The Brownstown Central High School senior and son of Whitney and Jill Carlin of Brownstown received the award from Kevin Gwin during a club meeting. Gwin, a teacher at the school, is a member of the club’s youth of the month committee.

Carlin is a member of student council, National Honor Society, Letterman’s Club, Kamali Club (Spirit Club) and Committee for Healthy Students and is the Riley Dance Marathon chairman.

He also was a four-year varsity tennis member and was captain his junior and senior years and earned Academic All-State honors.

Carlin thanked the club for the award and said he plans on attending Indiana University or Butler University and majoring in astronomy and astrophysics.
