Trinity Lutheran wins

Hannah Sabotin and Sydney Jaynes scored 19 points each to spark Trinity Lutheran to a 57-50 win over Edinburgh in the Bollinger Athletic Complex Thursday night.

The game was tied at 11-11 after the first period before the Cougars moved ahead 25-23 at the half and led 40-38 going into the fourth period.

Sabotin and Jaynes each had 12 rebounds.

The Cougars (4-2) will play Providence at noon Saturday in the Hoosier Gym at Knightstown.

Tigers beat Cougars

GREENSBURG — Crothersville senior Piper Hensley scored 36 points in a 72-61 win over South Decatur on Thursday.

The Tigers (5-4) led 32-27 at the half before putting up 27 points in the third quarter to bury the Cougars.

Hensley scored 18 of her points in the third quarter, and finished with four made 3-pointers. Maddie Riley added 13 points and Makayla Helt scored nine.

CHS will host South Central on Thursday.
