Christmas Basket Fund grows to $1,395

The annual Christmas Basket Fund grew to $1,395 on Monday with $945 in recent days.

The newest donations are:

  • In loving memory of Donald Kelsch, $100, from Janet and the kids.
  • In memory of Louis H. and Doris Niemeyer, Louis J. and Helen Niemeyer, John Niemeyer and Kay Niemeyer, $50, from Tom.
  • In memory of shipmates, John, Dean, Dave, Scott and Bob on the U.S.S. Conway DDE507, $25, from Tom Niemeyer.
  • In memory of Donnie Cooper, Dennis Riordan and Dan Sturgeon, $50, from Don Pridgen.
  • In memory of Mary P. Abel, $20, from Lorraine Gallentine.
  • In memory of the Harold Winkler family, $50, anonymous.
  • In memory of Robert, Reneua and D.R. Riordan, $100, from Steve and Kathy Riordan.

Need assistance and want to apply to receive a $50 Jay C Food Stores gift card? Jackson County residents should submit a letter stating their need for assistance and mail it to American Legion Basket Fund, P.O. Box 566, Seymour, IN 47274.

Donations of money and requests for assistance will be accepted through Dec. 15.
