Seymour police are asking for the public’s help to identify two suspects involved in an alleged armed robbery Saturday afternoon.

Police said two males robbed cash from Morales Super Market, 416 East Tipton Street, around 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The market shares a parking lot with Vick’s Liquor Store across the street from Hardee’s Restaurant.

One of the men was wearing a white hoodie and the other was wearing a dark navy varsity jacket, video surveillance from the store showed.

Both men are Latino and between 20 and 25 years old, 5’8″ to 5’10” tall and between 140-160 pounds, Detective Greg O’Brien said.

Police did not release the amount of cash the two took. The clerk was not able to tell police what direction the two went, police said.

Seymour Police Chief Bill Abbott said a weapon was never displayed, but the two men’s mannerisms led the sales clerk to believe they were armed.

Both were speaking Spanish, he added.

Anyone will information should call O’Brien at the Seymour Police Department at 812-522-1234.
