The National Weather Service has predicted the East Fork White River at Rockford will rise to 15.5 feet thanks to heavy rains the past two days before cresting at 2 p.m. today.

Through noon Thursday, more than 3½ inches of rain had fallen in the area since Tuesday, according to the weather station at Brownstown Central High School.

Additional rain was predicted through the remainder of Thursday. Today is supposed to be cloudy with a slight chance of rain.

At 15 feet, lowland agricultural flooding is in progress in the county, and County Road 725N (near Rockford) floods and State Road 258 east of Cortland may flood.
