Jackson County voters

It is with proud enthusiasm that I endorse Rick Meyer for Jackson County Sheriff.

I have had the opportunity to meet with Rick and I am confident that he will bring a bold and clear vision to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

Rick and I discussed law enforcement agencies working together on a wide variety of things including training. One of the first things I did to take BCSO to the “next level” was to increase training. Rick Meyer recognizes the importance of continuing education and training. He is a firm believer in the concept of “professionalism through training”. With Rick Meyer as your Sheriff, training will be a Hallmark in the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

We discussed REC — Residents Encountering Christ. REC is a program held over the weekend, the focus is to share the love and grace of Christ and to make Jesus known to men and women who are incarcerated. This is a program in which Rick is very interested.

We share one of our greatest priorities – drug eradication, particularly targeting people who provide illegal narcotics to Bartholomew and Jackson County residents. Rick and I will work together pursuing those who are distributing and abusing dangerous drugs in our counties and, along the way, we can transform the lives of residents and families more than ever before.

Jackson County residents know Rick Meyer. You know he is a good man, a family man, a Christian man, he’s a man of good character and an excellent law enforcement officer.

A vote for Rick Meyer means an aggressive agenda that clearly articulates his mission to provide the best possible protection and service to Jackson County residents and businesses.

I look forward to working closely with Rick. He has my full endorsement. A vote for Rick Meyer as Jackson County’s next Sheriff is a vote for great government service.

Sincerely, Matthew A. Myers, Sheriff Bartholomew County
