Begun in 1998, Teen Read Week is a national adolescent literacy initiative created by the Young Adult Library Services Association.

The Jackson County Public Library celebrates teens and their creativity and diversity by providing them a diverse reading collection and offering programs for varied interests.

During Teen Read Week Sunday through Oct. 13, students in grades 6 through 12 may visit the Teen Scene any time and enter for a chance to win a book. The drawing will be at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 13.
