Thrive Alliance has begun accepting nominations from Brown, Decatur, Bartholomew, Jackson and Jennings counties for its inaugural Family Caregiver of the Year Award.

The award will honor adult family members or other informal caregivers 18 and older who provide care to individuals 60 and older.

Eligible nominees can include a friend or family member who cares for your family member with a chronic illness, disease or injury, a parent who cares for your grandparents or a sibling who cares for his/her spouse.

An award celebration will take place at 10 a.m. Nov. 9 at the Thrive Alliance office in the United Way Building, 1531 13th St., Columbus.

A continental breakfast will be served, provided by Willow Crossing.
