A Seymour couple were listed in critical condition Monday after they were involved in a motorcycle crash a day earlier southeast of Martinsville, police report.

Brian K. Ingalsbe, 51, and his wife, Amber J. Ingalsbe, 49, were airlifted to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after they were seriously injured Sunday afternoon, according to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department.

The two were hurt when the motorcycle they were driving left the roadway to avoid hitting three vehicles that had stopped, according to a report from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department.

Neither were wearing helmets at the time of the crash, according to the police report.

Police said Amber Ingalsbe suffered severe head injuries and Brian Ingalsbe sustained significant injuries all over his body.

The incident was reported to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department at 3:51 p.m., and police were on scene four minutes later, according to the police report. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

A prayer circle for the Ingalsbes was scheduled for Monday night at The Alley in Seymour. The couple attend the church, and Amber is a member of the board.
