Tennis pairings announced

The IHSAA released the 2018 boys tennis sectional draws on Monday evening.

Trinity Lutheran and Brownstown Central will open Seymour Sectional play on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

On Thursday, the winner of Wednesday’s match will play Austin while Seymour and Scottsburg will play in the other semifinals match.

The championship match is scheduled for Friday.

Soccer pairings announced

The IHSAA released the 2018 boys and girls soccer sectional draws on Sunday.

Sectional play will take place next week.

In the Class 3A Sectional 15 draw, hosted by Jeffersonville High School, Seymour’s boys soccer team will open against the host school. Should the Owls advance, they will play the winner of New Albany-Columbus East.

Floyd Central got a bye in the first round of the draw, in the upper bracket, and will play the victor of Jennings County-Columbus North.

In the Floyd Central sectional, Seymour’s girls open with Bedford North Lawrence. The winner will take on the victor of Jennings County-New Albany. Floyd Central and Jefersonville will play in the semifinals in the lower bracket.

In the Class A Sectional 47 draw, at Christian Academy of Indiana (New Albany), Trinity Lutheran opens against Rock Creek Academy. Trinity will play the winner of Austin-Henryville if they advance, with the winner of CAI-Lanesville playing Providence in the other bracket.

At the Providence Sectional, Trinity plays Salem and Southwestern (Hanover) takes on Providence. Should Trinity move on, they will play CAI in the semifinals.
