Stephen Lloyd Wilson, Sr., age 59 of Seymour, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Columbus Regional Hospital. Born on March 20, 1959 in Seymour, he was the son of Lloyd and Millicent (Taylor) Wilson.

Steve graduated from Seymour High School and then helped open Lloyd’s Body Shop with his dad. In 2002, he opened his own body shop, Wilson Auto Body and was then joined by his son Nic in 2008. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.

He was passionate at an early age about boxing and was a member of the Indiana Golden Gloves Boxing where he won state twice. He was also active most of his life in softball first playing on Lloyd’s Body Shop team and then forming his own with Wilson Auto Body. Steve loved to travel and would often go to Jamaica, where he loved spearfishing. He loved to hunt and fish and and shared this with his sons. His greatest love was his three children and his grandchildren. Steve would often travel to places to follow his son Stephen and daughter in law’s music. He took great pride in home and business.

Survivors include his three children, Stephen (Leigh Nash) Wilson, Jr. of Nashville, TN., Nic Wilson and Lacie Wilson of Seymour; grandchildren, Vincent, Victor and Hunter Wilson and Henry Nash; siblings, Rick (Teresa) Wilson of Mexico Beach, Florida, Debra (Carmen) Collins of Franklin, IN, Bryan (Terri) Wilson of Brownstown and Lisa (Rick) Clark of Seymour. Steve leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mike Wilson.

Services will be at 7:00pm on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre. Visitation will be from 3:00pm until service time. Memorials can be made at the funeral home in Steve’s memory to American Lung Association in research for pulmonary fibrosis.
