Seymour’s Jerry Harris leaps and hauls in a pass from quarterback Glen VonDielingen. The 1986 Seymour High School football team went 7-3 this season, finishing runners-up in the South Central Conference. Seymour had wins over Jennings County, Shelbyville, Rushville (twice), Connersville, Bloomington South and Bedford North Lawrence. They also played Columbus North in the Hoosier Dome this season. Clint Davis and George Tatom both earned All-State honors this year. Davis was also nominated to the All-American Team and broke the school record for tackles in a season and career in ‘86.
