Mrs. Gladys M. Burchell, 87, of Seymour, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at Schneck Medical Center. She was born in Brownstown on September 13, 1930 to the late Frank and Amanda (Waldkoetter) Otte.

Funeral services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Saturday, September 8 at 1 pm with Revs. Andrew Currao and Joseph Barlau officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Friday from 4-8 pm and at the church on Saturday from 12 noon until time of service.

In Wegan, Indiana on September 18, 1948, she married Gilbert Burchell; he preceded her in death. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and enjoyed quilting with the Redeemer quilting group. She was a cook at Seymour Jr. High School for many years.

She is survived by her children, Ann Burchell, Larry (Janet) Burchell and Thomas (Kimbee) Burchell; grandchildren, Elizabeth Barrow, John Burchell, Melissa (Bo) Davidson, Heather Burchell and Kristy (Jeff) Fritsch; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Lloyd (Mary) Otte; sister, Lois (Lloyd) Hawn; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Otte.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Otis Otte, Mike Otte and Robert Otte; and sister, Francis Hobbs.
