Wreck west of Brownstown leaves at least two hurt


At least two women were taken to the hospital Friday evening after they were injured in a two-vehicle wreck on Slab Road at the bridge over the East Fork White River.

No information about their injuries is available at this time. Both woman were in one vehicle. One of the two people in the second vehicle was examined briefly by personnel with Jackson County Emergency Medical Services.

Brownstown Officer Joe Kelly and county officers Brad Barker, Jesse Hutchinson and Dustin Steward worked the crash scene along with others. The wreck, reported at about 5:40 p.m. Friday, left Slab Road west of Brownstown closed for more than an hour.
