Peggy Louise Meahl, 83, of Vallonia, died at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Hoosier Christian Village. She had been ill for 9 years. Peggy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Vallonia where she once was a part of the Ladies Aid. She was a graduate of Medora High School. She also worked at Marion Kay, Kieffer Paper Mill, Spartans, Dairy Queen and as the bookkeeper for Meahl Trucking. Peggy loved to quilt and work in her flower garden.

She was born on January 24, 1935 to the late Wirt Woods & Grace Johnson Woods. On May 10, 1952 in Vallonia, she married Floyd Meahl and he survives. Other survivors include a son, Danny (Nancy) Meahl of Vallonia, a daughter, Leah (John) Terrell of Brownstown; one sister, Wynona Leinhopp of Columbus, IN; grandchildren, Tammi Goss (Brian) Covert, John Goss II, Thomas Goss, Crystal Meahl (Jim) Reynolds, Wendy Meahl, Steve (Marissa) Meahl, Amanda, Nathan, Derek & Travis Crockett, several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Connie Jo Goss, 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Vallonia with Pastor Jordan McKinley officiating. Friends may visit at the Church Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will take place at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or to Schneck Medical Center Hospice.
