Martin Lee Martinez, 16, of Seymour passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018. He was born December 7, 2001 in Columbus. He attended Seymour High School and worked at Taco Bell. He will always be remembered for his selfless nature. He was willing to sacrifice himself for others which he did up until the end. Martin also loved all kinds of music, and in his younger years enjoyed tying knots and playing hide and seek.

Surviving to cherish Martin’s memory are his parents, Hugo Martinez and Terri Jo Martinez, his brother, Hugo, sisters, Niya and Amelia and grandparents, Joyce and Terry Mize and Amelia and Martin Martinez.

Friends may visit with his family from 4-8 pm Monday, September 3, 2018 at Burkholder Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, 419 N. Chestnut St., Seymour, IN 47274 and one hour before the Mass on Tuesday. The mass will be celebrated at 11 am Tuesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 325 S. Chestnut Street, Seymour by Father Daniel Staublin. Concluding services and interment will take place at Riverview Cemetery.
