LEXINGTON, INDIANA

On August 23, 2018, John W. Lankford of Lexington, Indiana, loving father, passed away in his home at the age of 55.

John was born in Hampton, Virginia to John Warren and Virginia Mosley Lankford.

He was a mechanic for many years, owning John’s Auto Shop in Scottsburg for a time.

John loved spending time with his kids, dear friends, fishing and tinkering around in his garage.

John is preceded in death by his father and mother; brother Albert; sisters Debbie and Teresa; and son Little John.

He is survived by three children Amy Franklin, Brittany Lankford, and Nathan Lankford; grandson Warren Franklin; companion Connie Pruett; sister Sylvia and brother Dennis, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Keeping with his wishes, John donated his body to medical science.

A memorial service will be held at the VFW in Crothersville, Indiana on Saturday, September 15 from 1 p.m to 4 p.m.
