Brown returns to mound

Zack Brown is back to pitching for the Double-A Biloxi Shuckers.

In his return from the disabled list and first start since July 22 due to a sprained ankle, the Seymour native tossed four quality innings for the Shuckers (73-54) against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos (63-61) in a 6-5 win on Monday.

Brown finished his outing by getting out of a bases-loaded jam in the fourth, inducing a pair of popups before striking out Vladimir Gutierrez to end his night.

Brown recorded four strikeouts, five hits and one earned run, lowering his season ERA to 2.33.

The Shuckers are the Double-A Affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. The Shuckers play at MGM Park in Biloxi, Mississippi.
