Max Roy Henderson of Nashville, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on the evening of August 5, 2018. Max was born in Columbus, Indiana to the late Charles Walter and Stella Mae(Hendershot)Henderson on April 15, 1930.

Max was an employee of Cummins for 35 years, working many different positions, the latest being an Engineer Technician He retired from Cummins in 1980. Max was also in the Air Force Reserve for 25 years and was honorably discharged in 1975.

He married Marietta Moore on June 24, 1950. She preceded him in death in 2010. He married Mary Rosalie Cecil on September 7, 2011 and she survives.

Max loved his music. He was a gifted and talented musician who could play a number of instruments including the keyboard, guitar, drums, steel guitar and organ. He loved working in his yard and more importantly loved being with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Max is survived by his loving wife Rosalie, two daughters; Jane Knorr and Mary Ellen (Husband Rick) Gaither, four step-children; Kimberly (Jason) Wood, Kenny Turner, Ermina Davis and Jeff Turner.

He is also survived by 13 grand-children and 7 great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Max will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. in Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 State Rd. 135 North, Nashville, Indiana 47448. The funeral service for Max will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 12 noon with a two hour visitation prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with Mike Whited and Denzel Hendershot officiating. Military honors will be presented by the Brown County Honor Guard and the US Air Force.
