Due to the unfortunate passing of Don Tatlock of Seymour, Hayden bluegrass music was left with no one in charge of keeping the event going.

Dan Branaman, band member of Eagle Ridge, has volunteered to organize the shows at the Hayden Historical Museum pavilion.

The next event, featuring Eagle Ridge, Bluegrass Express, Randy King and Hoosier Hills and James White and Deer Creek, will be Aug. 11.

Besides providing a place for good, clean entertainment for the entire family, the events also help raise funds for the upkeep and improvements for the museum’s buildings, according to a news release from the museum.

The next show will be Sept. 1 during Hayden’s Harvest Past event with various bluegrass bands performing from 1 to 5 p.m.

The remaining shows for the year will be Oct. 13, Nov. 10 and Dec. 8. All regular monthly shows will have open stage from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. At 5:30 p.m., group performances will start, and the evening performance will end around 9 p.m.

There is no admission charge, but a goodwill offering will be taken during the event. Concessions will be available.
