Missionary Charles Ferry will preach during the 9 and 11:15 a.m. services Sunday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.

A former vicar at Immanuel, the Rev. Ferry now serves the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod as Asia regional director.

Based in Chiayi, Taiwan, he is responsible for Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod work, personnel and relationships in 20 countries. He works to strengthen partner churches through theological education, translation and mercy projects. In addition, he provides Word and Sacrament ministry and pastoral care to geographically separated Lutherans.

He, his wife Cheryl, and their children also will present pictures and insights during the Sunday school hour between services.

Immanuel’s Mission Board is hosting the Ferrys and will provide refreshments.

The public is invited to attend. The church is located at 605 S. Walnut St. in Seymour.
