The search for a Madison man wanted on a Jennings County warrant has ended after he was found dead inside a house in the Paris Crossing area.

Jennings County Sheriff officers had been looking for 26-year-old Joseph Guadagnoli since the early morning hours of Tuesday when they attempted to serve a warrant for parole violation, said Lt. Mike Mowery, spokesman for the Jennings County Sheriff’s Department.

County Officer Kyle Lee was in the Paris Crossing area Friday when he observed an open door at a home which had been previously noted as closed. Officers found a back door to the home had been forced open, Mowery said.

When searching the home, they found Guadagnoli dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, Mowery said. No one else was in the home when Guadagnoli was found, Mowery said.
