Riley Children’s Foundation has donated $10,000 to community programs supporting children in Jackson, Jennings and Bartholomew counties.
Girls Inc. of Jackson County received $2,500 to provide the Kid-Ability program — which teaches children how to be assertive and and respond in emergency situations — to 600 third-grade students in Jackson County schools.
Jennings School Corp. received $5,000 to implement the Trauma Informed Model of facilitating trusting relationships between teachers and students.
The Columbus Park Foundation was awarded $2,500 to provide children in low-income areas with ways to stay active and healthy during the summer months.
Checks were awarded to the three organizations by members of the Riley Children’s Foundation South Central Committee.
